I'm currently working on a sunset theme, putting together a range of photographs I've taken of the sunset at the same time, in the same place over a time. I think it's going well, so when I finish with that no doubt it'l be posted on here

As you'll know if you read my last journal entry, last week I went to Paris. So, I thought it would be good to do a feature on deviations from Paris as there are some lovely photographs, especially at night. Paris is beautiful at night, but I did not like it as much during the day. It is very different to the capital cities I have visited (granted they were only London and Helsinki) it was very old. It is not somewhere to be honest I would visit again, but at least I can say I went. I went on a river cruise at night and the scenery was specatular. So, enjoy some of my photographs, and those of other people.

Comme vous le savez si vous ne l'avez lu ma dernière entrée de journal, la semaine dernière, je suis allé à Paris. Donc, je pense qu'il serait bon de faire un article sur Paris car il ya beaucoup de belles photographies, en particulier la nuit. Paris la nuit est belle, mais je n'ai pas aimé le plus au cours de la journée. Il diffère considérablement de la capitale des villes que j'ai visités - il est très vieux. Je ne suis pas encore, mais je peux vous dire, je suis allé. Je suis allé sur une croisière sur la rivière la nuit et le paysage était specatular. Alors, profitez de quelques-unes de mes photographies, et de ceux d'autres personnes.

Kuten tiedätte, jos et lue viimeinen päiväkirjamerkintä, viime viikolla kävin Pariisissa. Niin, ajattelin että olisi hyvä tehdä ominaisuus Pariisin koska on olemassa monia ihania kuvia, varsinkin öisin. Pariisi on kaunis yöllä, mutta en pidä siitä niin paljon päivän aikana. Se poikkeaa suuresti pääkaupunkien olen käynyt - se oli hyvin vanha. En vielä, mutta voin sanoa, menin. Menin on joen risteily yöllä ja maisemat oli specatular. Joten nauttia myös minun valokuvat, ja muiden ihmisten.

Well I finally got to see the Finnish band Negative live in Paris this week. I'm so pleased with the pictures I took (I did take over 200) and most of them have come out perfect. Very pleased. Also was another chance to see Hez
and her lovely boyfriend Beano.

So I thought I'd do a little feature on Negative, some of my photographs and some of others' too. Hope you enjoy them.

If you ever get the chance to see them live I would wholeheartedly say GO! They really are amazing!

It's been a good while since I did a feature so I thought I'd endevour to do another one since I have come across yet more amazing deviations of late.

Hope all is well with everyone, I've been busy playing with my digital SLR as usual and busy working so not had as much time as I'd like to take photographs.

A year ago next week I was in the beautiful place that was Saariselka in Finland. I miss those times. I miss the snow. I miss the -40 temperature. I miss sledging everywher. I miss long walks in the snow and warming up in a beautiful chalet. I miss Lapland so so much, I'm determind to keep enough time spare next year to go back. So I start with some of my favorite Lapland pics in memory....

Well as we all know we are drawing to the end of 2008 and coming to the beginning of 2009.

Personally I am looking forward to this, new start for myself with a new job and new life. Hopefully it will be a great time for all of you too.

Incidentally I got a new digital SLR camera for christmas, a Nikkon D40 which is nothing special but for a first digital SLR it's a great starting point. I'm already begining to see the advantages of it, the picture quality and colours are amazing thanks to a really good flash, and I'm looking around for a new lens as we speak. Reviews say it is just the same (some say better) than it's counterpart the D60 so fingers crossed it should be a good little first digital SLR. I'm getting back into the feelings I had when I did photography at Sixth Form and it's great.

So what do I have in store for 2009? Apart from a new job I have Paris in March, Ireland in June and a battlefields tour to France and Germany in September among many other things. Perfect times to get photographs.
